This is the most advanced form of capture: the colonization of even 
your empty spaces.

THE PRACTICE

Intentional information fasting.

Choose a duration:

During this period, consume no new information:

☐ No social media
☐ No podcasts
☐ No audiobooks
☐ No background TV

Existing information is fine. Continue conversations. Continue work.
But no new inputs.

Minute 5-15: Relief. Ahhh, silence.

Minute 15-30: Restlessness. Something feels missing.

Minute 30-45: Withdrawal symptoms. Reach for phone. Stop yourself.

Minute 45+: The settling. Your own thoughts begin to complete themselves.

The discomfort you feel is not boredom. It is withdrawal from an 
addiction you didn't know you had.

Notice it. Welcome it. It means the practice is working.
