Hang one lantern in every row, every column, and every colored plot, and no two lanterns may touch, not even at a corner. Every garden has exactly one solution, and it can always be found by reasoning. No guessing, and no timer breathing down your neck.

• A fresh daily garden every day at 6×6, 7×7, and 8×8, with streaks for coming back.
• Free play from 5×5 up to 9×9 whenever you want a new garden.
• Race a friend: every solve creates a challenge code you can paste anywhere. Your friend plays the same garden against your time. No accounts, no sign-up.
• Stuck? "Explain a step" shows the reasoning behind the next deduction, so you learn the logic instead of just the answer.
• An original ambient soundtrack under a quiet night sky that is easy on the eyes.

FAQ

Is Lanternfield free?
Yes. The game is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases in this version.

Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. Your progress lives on your device.

What data leaves my device?
Only feedback you choose to send: a garden rating or a comment, sent with an anonymous ID and never shared with anyone else. There are no trackers. The full plain-language version is in the privacy policy.

How do challenge codes work?
Every solve creates a short challenge code. Paste it anywhere; a friend who enters the code plays the same garden against your time. Codes travel only where you paste them. The game does not send them anywhere on its own.

Can I have feedback I sent deleted?
Yes. Email [email protected] and we will remove it.

Which platforms is Lanternfield on?
Lanternfield is currently in closed testing on Android, and an iOS version is in preparation. This page will be updated as releases roll out.
